TLAS-IMS implements the GS1 Global Traceability Standard, Release 2.0, in full and without deviation. Every traceable object, party, location and evidence document in the national timber supply chain is identified with a GS1 identification key, marked with an open GS1 data carrier, and shared as EPCIS visibility event data using the GS1 Core Business Vocabulary.
This makes the legality record of Lao timber machine-readable and interoperable with the due diligence systems of importers, certification bodies and partner customs authorities — without bilateral data mapping.

Data capture uses GS1-128, GS1 DataMatrix, GS1 Digital Link QR and EPC/RFID; data sharing uses the EPCIS 2.0 query interface with access scoped by GLN ownership.
The system is designed to withstand institutional audit, independent verification and the due diligence requirements of import markets.
No entity attains a legality status without supporting documentation recorded with its reference number, issuing authority, validity period and cryptographic file hash.
Duties are separated across mandated roles, access is scoped by jurisdiction, privileged accounts require multi-factor authentication, and every action is written to an immutable audit trail.
Registration, boundary capture, inventory measurement and mill receipts continue to function without connectivity and synchronise securely once a network is available.
